Loaders have made significant progress over the past few decades. Particularly noteworthy and a source of national pride is that annual production and sales of loaders have exceeded 160,000 units. Even in today's Chinese market, dominated by international brands, domestically produced loaders still hold the vast majority of the market share.
In 1978, China's annual loader production was only 1,315 units, with a cumulative production of only 9,454 units. By 2007, sales had surpassed 160,000 units, with exports exceeding 10,000 units-more than the total cumulative production before the reform and opening up. Similarly, China's annual bulldozer production in 1978 was only 1,909 units, with a cumulative production of 11,923 units. Imports were substantial at that time, reaching a cumulative total of 3,333 units by 1980. Particularly in the late 1980s, imports accounted for nearly 30% of the market. In 2007, the sales volume of bulldozers exceeded 7,390 units, which not only occupied the vast majority of the domestic market, but also exported a large number of them. In 2007 alone, the export volume reached 2,065 units, which exceeded the total national bulldozer production in 1978.
