Forklifts and forklift loader trucks differ in structure.
The main components of a forklift include the body, running gear, lifting mechanism, forks, and control mechanism. Forklift loader trucks, compared to forklifts, have a more complex structure, combining the functions of a forklift with those of a truck. Forklift loader trucks are generally classified into three types: truck-mounted, articulated, and platform trucks.
Truck-mounted forklift loader trucks consist of a truck chassis, front and rear axles, cab, and unloading bed. Articulated forklift loader trucks consist of a cab, a front articulated frame, a rear frame, and a transport platform. Platform truck loader trucks mainly come in three types: side-drive towed platform trucks, self-unloading platform trucks with a separate cab and platform, and trailer-mounted platform trucks with an integrated cab and platform.
